An Interview with Jazmine

Q: Did you have a nice vacation?
A: Yes! I went to Mexico to my grandma’s house with my sisters.  We played in her pool and it was a lot of fun.

Q: Did you read any books over the summer?
A: Yes, I like to read when I get bored…sometimes.  I read The Witches by Ronald Dahl, it was a good book.

Q: Are you glad to be back to school?
A: Yeah, I have my friends here and now I don’t have to be bored anymore.  I think school will be fun this year.

Q: What is your favorite subject?
A: Math.  I like DML too, that stands for daily math and language.  I like it because it’s easy for me and fun.

Q: Do you have any goals this year?
A: Yeah, to do my best so I make it to a good middle school, high school, and especially college so I can get a good job that I like.  A job is important so your family can keep their house and cars and stuff.

Q: What are you looking forward to most this year?
A: The field trips!  I hope we get to go to Sea World and especially the Ruben H. Fleet Science Center.  I’ve heard the Science Center is fun and I’ve been there before but I don’t remember it because I was really small when I went.  I also will like when the tutors come back because they help me and teach me in a really fun way.  They’re like friends who teach things too.

Q: What will be challenging for you this year?
A: Maybe the vocabulary because I got some wrong on the pretest but I’ll learn from my mistakes.
